Goodie-Two-Shoes Becomes Real

I decided freshman year that, be it cliché or not, I would discover who I was. I had always been the “sweet,” “smart” girl in high school. The one who never said anything controversial, but also never said anything of substance, but I was tired of it. My roommate and other peers in my dorm became my role models. I vowed to stop pretending I had self-confidence and actually develop it. I began to watch how they interacted with other people and tried to apply the things I saw to my own life. And for the first time in my life I came to a point where I began to be real with my peers.
